Shakira and Burna Boy have released Dai Dai, the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the tournament rollout, organizers presented the track as a global pop release built around Latin rhythms, Afrobeats influences, and multilingual vocals.
The song brings together two artists with large international audiences. Shakira has a long history with World Cup music, including Waka Waka from the 2010 tournament in South Africa. Burna Boy adds an Afrobeats presence to the release, reflecting the wider global reach of both the sport and the event’s music campaign.
Dai Dai arrives as attention builds around the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament is scheduled to run from June 11 through July 19, ending with the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The release also comes during a larger push to connect music and soccer around the event, including plans for the first World Cup final halftime show.
